I had a string of 2+ minute flights with the Sky Gull during the second trimming session; one is shown in the building video, here's another. It still needs to be trimmed to handle the first few seconds of the burst, but after that it climbs like a rocket! And, thanks to the large wing area, it has a nice glide. Looking forward to working with it some more.

It's was a little chilly, about 42 F, but nevertheless the Sky Gull hit a boomer thermal, about 50 sec in, and got up to 376 feet (an altimeter was on board). The video shows that I have no problems whatsoever dealing with a powerful thermal - I let the plane float around in it as long as I dare and then just steer the plane out of the thermal and back to the field, much more fun than using a dethermalizer, plus I'll bet in this case that I would have lost the plane even with a wing dethermalizer, - it was still going up at 376 feet!
