Archives From Film: The Short Skyliner was a deluxe passenger airliner version of the Short Skyvan SC.7 which was developed by Short Brothers of Belfast (Northern Ireland) in 1963. The Skyvan was used mainly for short-haul freight and skydiving, but also had many military applications, and the aircraft was operated by over 20 different military services around the world -- by 2013 Guyana and Oman were still operating the type in military service.
