What a crazy situation at Liege. I was just looking across the airport and suddenly I saw this hugh smoke cloud surrounding this Boeing 767-200 and of course at first I thought the B767 was burning. But about 30 seconds later the smoke cloud became smaller and it turned out the smoke came out of one of the engines. Here is my theory, but I am no expert. Every sunday a Boeing 767-200 of West Air flies from Liege to Istanbul and back to Liege. This sunday. The B767 was on the ground and a ASL B757-200 operated the flight instead of the B767 which was AOG on the ground.

Maybe the Boeing 767 received a new engine and it was the first startup of a brand new engine. But even if this was the reason, I have never seen anything which comes close to the amount of smoke which sudddenly appeared behind the Boeing 767. Probably we have some aircraft technicans who could confirm such a smoke cloud could be the result of the first startup of a brand new engine.

Thanks for watching, new videos every tuesday and friday.
